Dark Matter Market was engineered to fill the critical void in decentralized commerce infrastructure. Unlike predecessors that relied on centralized wallets and outdated escrow mechanisms, Dark Matter enforces a strict Monero-only (XMR) policy combined with server-side statelessness where possible.
Our architecture prioritizes "Security by Isolation." The marketplace frontend, the transaction engine, and the wallet nodes operate on physically separated networks, communicating only via encrypted, time-delayed shards. This structure ensures that a compromise of the public-facing interface yields no access to user funds or historical transaction data.
We define privacy not as secrecy, but as the right to selective disclosure. By mandating PGP 2FA and utilizing Monero's ring signatures, we mathematically guarantee that commerce remains between the buyer and the vendor, with the market acting solely as a blind arbiter.
02. Technical Infrastructure
Node Distribution
Load balancing is handled via a custom rotative onion service. Requests are distributed across 14 geographically isolated nodes, ensuring resilience against DDoS attacks and localized ISP filtering.
XMR Implementation
Integrated subaddress generation for every order. Funds are never reused. The internal mixer is redundant due to XMR's native obfuscation, but we add transaction padding to defeat timing analysis.
Dispute AI
Heuristic analysis of vendor history, shipping times, and message entropy assists moderators. This reduces resolution time by 60% while maintaining human finality on all fund releases.
Data Retention
Strict TTL (Time To Live) policies on all server logs. Order details are automatically purged from the database 72 hours after finalization. Images are stripped of EXIF data upon upload.
